Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Systems and Avionics Center of Excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the verification of safety/mission-critical avionics software and will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our spacecraft missions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements and designs for verifiability, identifying requirement gaps and implementing solutions.
- Author requirements-based test cases, test procedures, and scripts to ensure thorough testing of software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain software test environments and infrastructure.
- Provide program progress insights to leadership through reports and metrics.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and contribute to organizational initiatives to continuously improve engineering processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in embedded software testing or development in a safety or mission-critical industry.
- Excellent Python, C, or C++ coding skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or verifying mission-critical space software.
- Experience with standards such as NPR 7150.2, NASA-STD-8739.8A, DO-178, MIL-STD-498, MIL-STD-882E.
- Experience with tools such as Pytest, CppUTest, Gcov, DOORs Next Generation (DNG), Jama, Gitlab, Jira, Docker.
