POSITION: Manager - Software Engineering
RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversees the software engineering division, focusing on the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software applications for enhancements and new offerings, including cloud-based and internet-related solutions. Manages the creation of software and tools utilized for design, infrastructure, and platforms, which encompass operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, and databases. Assesses hardware compatibility and/or hardware architecture. Collaborates with colleagues to ensure that specifications across teams are clearly defined and aligned. Partners with software engineering leaders to strategize sprint cycles and translate business needs into technical and testing specifications. Works alongside the Development Operations team to integrate new technologies into the stack when suitable, aiding in research, implementation, and integration. Identifies, develops, and executes implementations according to organizational priorities. Leads a team, ensuring that software meets or surpasses defined standards and user requirements; collaborates closely with key stakeholders within development and business teams regarding the roadmap and release schedule. Evaluates and monitors tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing and defect identification. Determines the appropriate allocation of staff resources to achieve objectives. Establishes annual Key Performance Indicators that align with corporate goals. Guides and mentors employees on performance gaps, career development opportunities, and strategies. Oversees all human resource-related processes, including onboarding, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, selection, terminations, compensation, and rewards. Prepares and manages the assigned budget; analyzes variances and initiates corrective actions to enhance operational performance. Supervises Software Developers.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Sciences, or a related field, along with 2 years of experience in roles such as Sr. Programmer Analyst, Development Lead, Sr. Software Engineer, Application Engineer, or similar positions. 2 years of technology experience; 2 years of experience in developing IT quality strategies that enhance process efficiencies and effectiveness; Proven experience collaborating with a diverse range of team members, including both IT and non-IT personnel; Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment supporting a diverse portfolio of applications.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Remote work option available. May work from various locations across the US.
SALARY RANGE: $151,362.00/year to $204,200.00/year
