Job Title: Trade Sales Consultant

Job Summary:

The Trade Sales Consultant is a key role within our organization, responsible for building strong relationships with customers in the trade industry. This individual will be responsible for achieving individual sales goals through a relational selling model, providing well-rounded solutions, and developing partnerships with builders, contractors, architects, and trade organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve individual sales and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Network, lead, and referral generation.
  • Represent the company at company-sponsored events, professional groups, trade association meetings, and builder home shows.
  • Generate sales by acquiring new customers while building loyalty within existing customer relationships.
  • Respond to client concerns and apply independent decision-making while striving for first-time resolution on all client problems/issues.
  • Maintain exceptional levels of expertise on products/services relating to customers and stay abreast of the competitive landscape.
  • Build strong customer relationships by engaging in a consultative sales approach to recommend products, total solutions, and consistent follow-up that satisfy customer needs.
  • Ensure quotes and orders are accurate following company sales procedures.
  • Educate customers on manufacturer installation guidelines and measuring of openings to ensure accuracy of product ordering and applications.
  • Leverage other team members/departments to assist with specific product requirements.
  • Thank clients and encourage a continuing relationship by acting as their central point of contact.
  • Understand and adhere to the Trade Selling Process in all aspects of sales-related interactions.
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure successful after-sale service requirements and installations.
  • Interact with Account Receivable department to address any potential billing/payment issues of customers.
  • Utilize CRM systems tools to manage all customer interactions and proactively communicate with customers.
