Position Overview:
As a vital member of our organization, the Social Services Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents in affordable housing and the surrounding community. Key Responsibilities:
The Coordinator will:

  • Design and implement programs aimed at improving health, wellness, and nutrition.
  • Facilitate educational initiatives such as GED preparation and job readiness workshops.
  • Organize community events to strengthen neighborhood ties and promote safety.
  • Assess community needs and develop additional services accordingly.
  • Support residents in setting and achieving personal service goals, monitoring their progress.
  • Maintain comprehensive resource files for referrals and provide follow-up support.
  • Utilize data management systems to track case management and program outcomes.
  • Publish a monthly newsletter and community calendar to keep residents informed.
  • Offer technical support to resident associations and engage volunteers.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts to enhance program offerings.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to property management and residents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project planning and organizational abilities.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in social service delivery.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Candidates should be able to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Compensation:
The position offers an hourly wage of $23.00.
