Our community features 84 units, a combination of one-bedroom and studio apartments, with 20 units dedicated to Memory Care and the rest to traditional Assisted Living. We have a bistro, a salon/spa, a fitness center, and a rooftop terrace. For 156 years, we have been serving the Greater New Haven senior community as a mission-focused non-profit, governed by a Board of Trustees.
Schedule:
Full-Time: 40 hours per week. Ability to be flexible with the schedule and ability to work on weekends.
Hourly Rate:
$16.00 to $20.00 (Based on Experience)
Job Responsibilities:
Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, ensuring quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved.
Directs and assists in daily scheduled cleaning duties of the department, ensuring compliance with established sanitary and infection control standards.
Must be able to read and understand residents' diets requirements.
Trains and directs Dietary Aids.
Communicates resident likes and dislikes to Executive Chef for menu planning purposes and resident satisfaction.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience preferred; experience in Assisted Living a plus.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs.
This is primarily a standing position where an employee may be required to stand in one place for extended periods of time.
Able to build positive and strong relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and residents.
Focused and dedicated to provide excellent customer service.
Able to handle multiple jobs and priorities.
Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
