Position Overview:
The Ozark CSCMP Customer Service Associate is responsible for overseeing delivery timelines to ensure prompt distribution of goods and materials to client destinations. This role involves managing critical information and transactions to guarantee timely deliveries by monitoring shipments for collection, estimating arrival and delivery times, and recovering loads when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) to input and process customer orders.
- Collaborate closely with carriers to ensure timely deliveries by regularly checking shipment statuses and maintaining strong transportation partnerships.
- Communicate effectively with team members across different shifts.
- Complete daily logs and checklists accurately.
- Assist customers in resolving any transportation-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings for clients.
- Engage in additional projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree or some college experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle time-sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel and Outlook, are essential.
- Must be capable of learning and operating various company and client-owned transportation systems and applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are required.
- Adaptability in a dynamic work environment is crucial.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as needed.
- Regular and predictable attendance is a fundamental requirement of the role.
- Willingness to travel as necessary and comply with all employment requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
Physical Requirements:
The physical and mental demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
