Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Shaft Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Co. This role will be responsible for designing drive shaft parts and systems that meet our high standards of performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop drive shaft parts and systems that meet performance, quality, and reliability targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and coordinate activities, including design, testing, manufacturing, and purchasing.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, milestones, and trigger points to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Attend meetings, lead discussions, and provide constructive feedback to ensure project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review and analyze costs to ensure alignment with design intentions and provide solutions to optimize costs.
  • Model parts and systems in 3D and create 2D drawings and specifications using CATIA and MS Office.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
  • Co-op experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) and Microsoft Office.
