Job Title: Mechanical Design Sr. Engineer I

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Sr. Engineer I to join our team at Honda Development and Manufacturing of America. As a key member of our Chassis Development Division, you will be responsible for designing suspension parts and systems that meet targeted schedules and deliver outstanding performance, quality, reliability, value, and enjoyment to Honda's customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop suspension parts and systems using CATIA and MS Office, ensuring quality, performance, and cost targets are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, test, factory, purchasing, and suppliers, to achieve project goals.
  • Plan and coordinate activities, create schedules, and share with related groups to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Lead meetings, provide constructive feedback, and track open items to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Review costs and provide solutions to ensure design intentions are met.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in automotive suspension component and system design.
  • BSc in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
  • CAD software proficiency, including CATIA V5/V6, and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

This role requires sitting, standing, walking, and driving. Ability to lift components and travel may be required. Overtime may be necessary.
