Location:

U-Haul is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and insightful individual to join as an Operations Manager Trainee to gain expertise in overseeing one of our moving and storage facilities. As an Operations Manager Trainee, your primary focus will be on enhancing the profitability and efficiency of our rental locations by effectively managing inventory and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of management experience in retail or a service-oriented industry with accountability for financial outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Management experience in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) responsibility.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

This position involves moderate risks or discomforts that necessitate special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals. Protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields, may be required.

Physical Demands:

The role requires some physical exertion, including long periods of standing both indoors and outdoors, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
