Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team at NCH Corporation. As a Field Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical water purification systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and commission water purification equipment, including water softeners, filtration systems, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and deionization (DI) systems.
  • Interact with clients and Chem-Aqua representatives to address concerns, provide technical advice, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the commissioning process.
  • Perform testing, validation, and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Provide training on the proper operation and maintenance of water purification systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to water purification systems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Provide ongoing support and preventive maintenance services to ensure optimal performance and longevity of installed equipment.
  • Adhere to strict health and safety protocols and practices while working on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or degree in engineering, water treatment, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of critical water purification systems.
  • In-depth understanding of water purification systems, including Water Softeners, Filtration, Reverse Osmosis (RO), and Deionization (DI) systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues related to water treatment equipment and systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare staff, facility management, and equipment manufacturers.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to system installation, maintenance, and repair, including pressure gauges, multi-meters, and calibration tools.
Physical and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must have good depth perception and ability to distinguish different colors.
  • Must have hearing sufficient to hear verbal and audible signals at a moderate distance.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively manage client relationships, address concerns, and provide training and support to facility staff as needed.
