Salary Range: $75,000 $100,000 per year (based on experience/qualifications) commission
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Specialist to drive growth in the federal government contracting space with a specific focus on HUBZone setaside opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience navigating the complexities of government procurement processes, building relationships with federal agencies, and developing targeted strategies to win new business within the HUBZone program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue HUBZone setaside opportunities within the federal contracting space.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within federal agencies and prime contractors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other federal solicitations.
- Stay informed about government procurement trends, policies, and opportunities within the HUBZone program and other small business setaside categories.
- Lead capture management efforts, including opportunity tracking, competitive analysis, and bid/no-bid decision-making.
- Participate in networking events, conferences, and business outreach efforts to represent the company and build brand awareness.
- Work closely with proposal teams to develop winning strategies and compliant proposals.
- Track and report on business development efforts, performance metrics, and revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in sales/business development.
- Strong understanding of the HUBZone program and setaside contracting opportunities for small businesses.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to develop relationships with federal agencies and prime contractors.
- Familiarity with federal contracting vehicles, such as GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs, and BPAs.
- Proficiency with government contracting tools, such as SAM.gov, FPDS, and USA Spending.
