Job Overview

Position Summary: The Landscape Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of tools, equipment, and personnel to various job sites. This role includes conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. The specialist will also engage in daily landscaping tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport tools, materials, and team members to job locations in a punctual and professional manner.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation for driving and vehicle operation.

• Assist in the loading and unloading of equipment for daily operations.

• Complete vehicle inspection reports to identify any safety or maintenance issues and report them to management.

• Ensure routine maintenance is performed on all equipment utilized at job sites.

• Be accountable for the condition of all tools and vehicles used during work assignments.

• Utilize commercial driving skills to operate vehicles safely in various traffic and weather conditions.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

• Navigate to job sites using GPS technology.

• Report any incidents involving company vehicles or equipment promptly.

• Operate a variety of landscaping machinery, including but not limited to mowers, tractors, and hand tools.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations governing vehicle and equipment operation.

• Perform various landscaping tasks such as planting, grading, and installation of hardscapes.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License required.

• Successful completion of a driving assessment conducted by the company.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively within a team.

• Familiarity with DOT regulations related to safe driving practices.

• Previous landscaping experience is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This position requires flexibility in work hours, including potential overtime and weekend shifts based on project demands. Employees may be required to be on-call during winter months for snow removal operations. Outdoor working conditions are typical.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.

• Capability to work in different positions such as standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional Saturdays based on workload
