Role Description
CRCSI is hiring a full-time master's level Clinician to work in our Assertive Community Treatment Team Program. The Assertive Community Team (ACT) is a full support service program incorporating case management and treatment for any of your loved ones experiencing severe and persistent mental illness, such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, etc. Our team consists of Psychiatrists, Psych Certified CRNP's, Registered Nurses, Drug and Alcohol Specialists, Master Level Clinicians, Bachelor level Clinicians, Vocational Specialists, and Certified Peer Specialists.
The incumbent will be expected to function as a master’s level therapist and caseworker as part of the therapeutic team for Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) consumers and to ensure maintenance of standards for compliance with regulations and licensure. The incumbent will work closely with the ACT treatment team and psychiatrist in formulating and executing treatment conforming to current standards of care.
The primary duties for this position include:
- Participate in daily team meetings, treatment team meetings, meetings with family or other providers as needed regarding the treatment needs of the consumers of ACT and collaborates with outside agencies, healthcare partners, family, and others in a professional and organized manner.
- Participates in the duties associated with engagement, admissions and discharges, plans and facilitates psycho-educational groups and therapeutic activity group, as well as provides scheduled individual and group therapy.
- Develop a therapeutic relationship that will enhance teamwork, quality of program, and consistency across the program with other ACT staff members.
- Works with other agencies and service providers to access necessary community supports for ACT consumers and maintain contact with other agencies involved in the care of ACT consumers, so as to promote continuity of care.
This position does spend a great deal of time in the community and driving clients to appointments, lunch, or even the grocery store. Individuals must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle, be comfortable driving in all climates, and maintain an approved motor vehicle record to drive for the agency. Individuals will drive agency vehicles, not their own personal cars.
Qualifications
- Clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills
- Experience in individual and group counseling
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in behavioral health
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a professional counselor or social worker
