Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. As an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team, you will assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in various specialized and complex invasive and non-invasive anesthesia procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist anesthesia professional staff as requested, anticipating the need for invasive procedures according to the daily OR schedule.
- Prepare and drape patients for invasive monitoring procedures, and assist in the preparation and assembly of transducer lines and equipment necessary for arterial, central venous, and pulmonary artery pressure monitoring.
- Maintain the availability of necessary equipment in each operating room, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the anesthesia work stations on a daily basis.
- Perform all job duties of an anesthesia technician I, including stocking operating rooms with necessary anesthesia equipment and supplies, and cleaning all anesthesia equipment in the operating room and POCA after each procedure.
- Review computer reports to determine appropriate medication levels, and fill patient medication orders for Pyxis Anesthesia Carts from computer-generated reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a fast-paced clinical setting required.
- Prior experience as an Anesthesia Technician or a current Anesthesia Tech student preferred.
- Annual BLS certification required.
- Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians is desired.
