We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in a variety of specialized and complex invasive and non-invasive anesthesia procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist anesthesia professionals in preparing patients for invasive procedures, including draping and preparing equipment.
- Anticipate and meet the needs of anesthesiologists in invasive monitor insertion and procedures, such as pulmonary artery catheter, central venous access, fiber optic intubation, and difficult airway situations.
- Provide technical support in the pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative areas for the delivery of safe, efficient, and cost-effective anesthesia care.
- Maintain and organize the anesthesia environment, equipment, and supplies to facilitate departmental functioning.
- Perform all job duties of an anesthesia technician, including stocking operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies, cleaning anesthesia equipment, and refilling Pyxis Anesthesia Medication.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a fast-paced clinical setting required.
- Prior experience as an Anesthesia Technician or a current Anesthesia Tech student preferred.
- Annual BLS certification required.
- Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians is desired.
