Key Position DetailsThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Clinic provides support to providers in the delivery of timely, quality patient health care services in a clinic environment. Some key responsibilities include:
- Providing patient care support as delegated by Provider or RN
- Administering therapies, including medications, scheduling follow-up visits, and prior authorization
- Collaborating with Provider and team on improving and managing quality goals
- Performing rooming, measuring patients' vital signs, and recording in medical records
- Assisting patients with preparation for physician exams, including providing psycho-emotional support
- Assisting in the collection, labeling, and processing of specimens
- Organizing patient flow to ensure efficient physician movement
- Providing outbound calls to patients to follow up as directed
- Accurately and completely charting information in patient medical records
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's or Vocational degree from a Board of Nursing-approved LPN program
- Two years of clinic LPN experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse MN BON or Licensed Practical Nurse Wisconsin (if working in Wisconsin or interacting with Wisconsin patients remotely)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Allina in-house BLS training
