Position Overview

The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of a branch to ensure exceptional service quality and adherence to safety standards. This role provides leadership and technical expertise to maintain compliance with safety regulations and policies. Additionally, the manager is accountable for financial performance, including profit and loss management, sales, personnel oversight, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of team members, customers, and equipment.
  • Promote and cultivate a safety-first culture within the Customer Service Center.
  • Manage financial outcomes in alignment with budgetary expectations.
  • Oversee the recruitment and cross-training of staff across various functional areas.
  • Provide timely and precise forecasting reports.
  • Must reside within the designated service area.
  • Implement and uphold the company’s safety program.
  • Ensure all employees complete necessary training as per safety and training protocols.
  • Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Conduct annual audits of facilities under supervision.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to enhance processes, service quality, and operational efficiencies.
  • Report accidents and incidents promptly as per directives.
  • Manage sales initiatives and production levels.
  • Focus on customer retention and business growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of a valid CDL B license with necessary endorsements (hazmat, tanker, air brake) as required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within operations, preferably in the relevant industry.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to complete projects and tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional demeanor and conduct while representing the organization.
  • Willingness to work during holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Exhibit behaviors that align with the company’s culture and values.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrating a professional business approach.
  • Capability to lead meetings and training sessions, as well as present to senior management.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
