Job Summary

The selected RN will engage in high-risk population studies, particularly in Pediatrics and Neonatology, focusing on investigational drug trials and IV medication administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Recruiting and screening new study participants, managing regulatory documents, and assisting with investigator-initiated studies.
  2. Data entry into electronic data capture systems and maintaining study documentation.
  3. Acting as a patient advocate, coordinating care, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
  4. Handling specimen collection, processing, and storage for research studies.
  5. Preparing for audits and responding to inquiries from the Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution and active RN licensure in Georgia, with a minimum of three years of clinical experience in a specialized field.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Preferred:

  • Completion of the CITI Program for FDA regulated research.
  • Certification as a Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience in pediatric nursing and clinical research.

Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with clinical research protocols, good clinical practices, and medical terminology are essential.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, with potential for early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
