Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Community Partnership Coordinator is integral to advancing the mission of God's Pantry Food Bank by overseeing fundraising initiatives and fostering community collaborations. This role focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with businesses, corporations, faith-based organizations, and civic groups across the Food Bank's extensive service area.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development

  • Initiate and cultivate innovative partnerships with businesses, corporations, and philanthropic foundations.
  • Oversee all sponsorship inquiries for events, collaborating with the Development Manager to define sponsorship tiers.
  • Explore and implement new fundraising strategies and opportunities.
  • Represent God's Pantry Food Bank with professionalism, building strong connections with partners, sponsors, attendees, vendors, agencies, volunteers, and the broader community to support the Food Bank's mission.
  • Engage with corporate entities to provide updates on Food Bank initiatives, seek support, acknowledge contributions, and advocate for hunger relief in the region.
  • Participate in community and social gatherings to network and identify potential sponsors and partners.
  • Work alongside team members to enhance the Faith-Based Partnership Program, focusing on expanding outreach and strengthening existing relationships.

Event Management

  • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, including staffing, budgeting, design, and logistics.
  • Coordinate signature events in collaboration with the Development Team and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Employee & Community Engagement Team to develop comprehensive marketing strategies and promotional materials for events.
  • Enhance existing events to maximize their effectiveness and community impact.
  • Maintain detailed records of event planning, sponsorship requests, and outreach efforts.
  • Partner with fellow coordinators to secure auction items to increase fundraising revenue.

Donor Stewardship

  • Assist in the stewardship of donors, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and event participants.
  • Collaborate with the Development Team to organize an annual donor appreciation event.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage starting at $23 or more

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in event planning or project management.
  • Background in non-profit or fundraising preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable in a collaborative and creative environment.
