Construction Cost Analyst

L.F. Jennings, Inc. is in search of a Construction Cost Analyst to enhance our Corporate Interiors division. The ideal candidate will excel in collaborative environments, engaging with various stakeholders to ensure thoroughness in project bids for effective execution.

The Construction Cost Analyst will interpret architectural drawings, develop and articulate scopes of work across multiple trades, issue invitations for bids, conduct quantity takeoffs, and collaborate with teams in Preconstruction and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and estimates budgetary costs for construction projects by reviewing plans and specifications.
  • Investigates and reconciles discrepancies in costs.
  • Creates and presents budgets, reports, and project strategies.
  • Prepares bids for construction initiatives.
  • Collaborates closely with architects and other industry professionals.
  • Organizes meetings with clients, contractors, site supervisors, and team members.
  • Understands and navigates building regulations.
  • Maintains current knowledge of safety standards and advancements in construction practices.
  • Acts as a primary contact for trade partners and project owners.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings.
  • Familiarity with digital takeoff software.
  • Strong communication skills across various platforms.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced and occasionally high-pressure environment.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 0 - 5 years of relevant construction experience is preferred.
