Position Overview: The American Academy of Ophthalmology is seeking a dedicated individual for a faculty role in the field of ophthalmology. This position is available for candidates at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level, requiring an MD degree along with board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will play a vital role in the education and supervision of residents and fellows. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading ophthalmology consultations and managing patients in hospital and emergency settings;
  2. Overseeing general ophthalmology outpatient clinics;
  3. Supervising surgical procedures in operating rooms, minor surgery rooms, and laser treatment areas;
  4. Conducting educational activities for residents and fellows;
  5. Engaging in faculty practice.

Candidate Profile: We welcome applications from individuals specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology as well as various ophthalmologic subspecialties. Consideration will also be given to those interested in part-time opportunities.
