The American Academy of Ophthalmology is seeking a distinguished Neuro-Ophthalmologist to enhance our department. The appointment level will be aligned with the candidate's academic achievements and professional experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Possession of an M.D. degree or its equivalent
  2. Completion of an accredited residency in either ophthalmology or neurology
  3. Fellowship training specifically in neuro-ophthalmology
  4. Eligibility for licensure in Texas
  5. Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Ophthalmology or the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

We are open to considering candidates interested in part-time positions. The selected individual will be involved in the clinical management of patients within our neuro-ophthalmology practice, as well as in the educational training of residents and fellows. A passion for clinical or translational research, along with an interest in comprehensive or specialized surgical ophthalmology, is appreciated but not mandatory.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to relevant educational codes, which permit the Academy to conduct background checks.
