The Patient Care Coordinator is a vital member of the Skin Wellness Physicians team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner, providing necessary instructions and/or directions.
- Patient Information and Charting: Update patient information, provide necessary forms, and obtain necessary signatures.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments between providers and patients, and liaise between departments with discretion and professionalism.
- Front Office Operations: Maintain clean, orderly waiting areas and front office spaces, and verify patient insurance eligibility as needed.
- Communication and Confidentiality: Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients, and maintain confidentiality of all providers, staff, and patient information.
- Administrative Tasks: Enter patient data into the EMR databases, appointments into scheduling systems, and maintain documentation of no shows, cancellations, late arrivals, and missed appointments.
- Customer Service: Inform patients of the office's payment policy and procedures, collect patient payments, and adhere to scheduled work and break hours to ensure adequate front desk coverage.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in efforts to learn about new and existing products, procedures, and services, and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
