Job Description
At Skin Wellness Physicians, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner, providing necessary instructions and/or directions.
  • Update patient information, provide any necessary forms needing completion, and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Create new patient charts as instructed and maintain clean, orderly waiting areas and front office spaces.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility as needed and answer phone calls according to protocol.
  • Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients, maintaining confidentiality of all providers, staff, and patient information.
  • Schedule appointments between providers and patients, liaising between other departments with discretion and professionalism.
  • Adhere to SWP policy and procedures during all activities, quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues to the appropriate department/individual.
  • Optimize provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling, maintaining operations by following policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, maintaining medical records, HIPAA documentation, and entering patient data into the EMR databases and appointments into scheduling systems.
  • Maintain documentation of no shows, cancellations, late arrivals, and missed appointments, reviewing and maintaining all schedules as needed.
  • Ensure all scheduled appointment needs are appropriately prepared and accurate records are present and/or obtained as needed and assigned.
  • Inform patients of the office's payment policy and procedures, collecting patient payments in accordance with the time-of-service payment policy.
  • Adhere to scheduled work and break hours to ensure adequate front desk coverage, registering new patients and updating existing patient demographics.
  • Facilitate patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of patient arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff, checking patients in and out for their appointments.
  • Keep office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs and monitoring front office equipment.
  • Participate in efforts to learn about new and existing products, procedures, and services.
