Northern New England's leading warehousing, logistics, and transportation provider, NEPW Logistics, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee all accounting functions and processes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's accounting and tax records, managing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with state and federal tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including reviewing invoices, general ledger oversight, and preparation of accounting journal entries.\
  • Maintain fixed asset records and cash forecasting schedule.\
  • Interact with company managers and vice presidents to ensure smooth paperwork flow.\
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for owners and lenders.\
  • Evaluate financial data to inform business decisions.\
  • Work closely with outside auditors and tax advisors.\
  • Ensure timely completion of bank reporting requirements.\
  • Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and payable departments.\
  • Manage financial staff by planning and monitoring job results.\

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, as well as proven work experience in accounting or a related field. You should have a strong understanding of applicable laws and regulations, accounting principles, and financial markets and banking. Additionally, you should be able to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, possess strong organization and priority setting skills, and have advanced computer skills in Excel.
