As a Leadership Coach - Store Operations at Walmart, you will play a vital role in driving the financial performance and sales of our designated store area. Your primary responsibility will be to review and evaluate P&L (Profit & Loss) statements, manage and assist in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses in designated business areas to ensure they are indexed to sales. You will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. To mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area, you will develop and implement action plans. Additionally, you will provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring of associates; assigning duties; setting clear expectations; providing associate recognition; communicating expectations consistently and effectively; ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness; and recruiting and developing qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential. Furthermore, you will coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. In terms of benefits, you will receive a competitive annual salary range of $65,000.00-$80,000.00, as well as additional compensation, including annual or quarterly performance bonuses. You will also be eligible for a range of benefits, including medical, vision, and dental coverage; 401(k) and stock purchase plans; paid time off; and more. To be eligible for this role, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years' of college, or 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience, or 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms, you will be required to complete a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities that sell only ammunition, you may be required to hold a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility. You will also be expected to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
