Job Overview

Position Summary

The Program Supervisor is accountable for cultivating a secure and supportive atmosphere that promotes effective communication, well-being, empowerment, and assistance to the individuals served by the program. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of the site or work group, along with all personnel engaged in the site or group. The Program Supervisor will directly oversee the Lead Staff and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) within their designated areas. Acting as a role model, the Program Supervisor will exemplify the expected job performance, maintain a positive workplace attitude, and foster appropriate interactions with consumers and fellow professionals. A strong commitment to the values upheld by Resources for Human Development is essential in the execution of job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Management

  • Provide direct oversight of all personnel at the site.
  • Conduct regular meetings with site employees to offer skill development and mentoring, addressing any identified areas for improvement.
  • Oversee site scheduling, including managing callouts, no-shows, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Participate in the recruitment process and provide recommendations for new DSP candidates.
  • Engage in all planning and team meetings for each individual served.

Program Development

  • Respond effectively to crisis situations by notifying relevant parties and completing necessary incident reports.
  • Immediately report any medical concerns to the appropriate leadership or agency nurse.
  • Plan and coordinate monthly activities for consumers, ensuring proper funding and implementation.
  • Manage daily operations of units and sites as outlined in Individual Support Plans (ISP) or treatment protocols.

Administrative Duties

  • Oversee, monitor, and reconcile all expenditures related to the site and consumers.
  • Ensure the maintenance and safety of the physical site and vehicles, reporting any required repairs to the Unit Director.
  • Monitor and guarantee the timely completion of all necessary documentation (logs, medications, inventories, incident reports, assessments, etc.) and communicate any issues directly to the Program Director.
  • Prepare the home for State licensing inspections, including consumer files and medication records.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), Behavioral Health Diagnoses, or in Drug and Alcohol Recovery Programs.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, organizational values, and program policies and procedures.
  • Basic proficiency in computer and internet usage, including the ability to use applications for data entry and retrieval.
  • Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle with state-required liability insurance.
  • Subject to employment screenings, including background checks as applicable.
