Job Title: Family Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Services Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Medical Services. As a Family Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting families and promoting the well-being of children and families in our community.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing case management and support services to families, including assessment, planning, and implementation of services to meet the needs of children and families. The Family Services Assistant will work closely with families, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that families receive the support and resources they need to thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide case management and support services to families, including assessment, planning, and implementation of services.
  • Work closely with families, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that families receive the support and resources they need.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the needs of children and families.
  • Provide education and support to families on topics such as child development, parenting, and community resources.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure that families receive comprehensive and coordinated services.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 45-hour entry-level course or approved three-credit early care and education course or equivalent required within six months of hire.
  • Credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or related field required within 18 months of hire.
  • One year certificate in Early Childhood Education or AA/AAS or BA/BS degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
  • Experience working with families in case management or resource and referral preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
