Position Overview:
Congo Brands is in search of a Logistics Operations Manager to join our dedicated team.

The Logistics Operations Manager will play a crucial role in leading and mentoring our multi-brand logistics team, ensuring that all transportation operations are executed with excellence.

This position is based at our headquarters.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Address and resolve transportation and logistics challenges, as well as customer inquiries.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with transportation providers.
  • Ensure the department meets or surpasses financial objectives, analyzing the financial implications of proposed logistics modifications, including routing, shipping methods, product volumes, and carrier selection.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of optimal routing structures, demand planning, and comprehensive logistics support.
  • Act as the primary contact for the administration and management of the logistics process, including benchmarking, negotiation, and oversight of third-party vendor contracts and service levels.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive continuous enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member and leader across the logistics team.
  • Monitor, support, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with service providers, ensuring accountability and performance standards.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the logistics sector.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with common challenges and solutions in supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience with a focus on talent development and maximizing team potential.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly with senior management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Operations is preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and follow-up capabilities.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and process control.
  • Ability to thrive and lead in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and relationship management skills are essential for this role.
