About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Wesco International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for interacting with existing customers to increase sales of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verifying and entering items, transferring orders to fulfillment, and explaining stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer buying history.
  • Own, qualify, and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
  • Identify ways for continuous improvement of processes.
  • Prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders or determine the reason for loss of order.
  • Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those at risk of missing customer promised delivery dates.
  • Maintain distribution system backorder reports, associated customer expediting reports, and notices, as well as customer notifications.
  • Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.
Requirements
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration, with a focus on acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Working in a team environment.
  • Clear communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts.
  • Take action and solve a range of problems that may be difficult but not typically complex.
  • Identify and define problems and possible solutions independently, choosing among existing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
