Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Room suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards and protocols.
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Position patients according to the type of surgery, taking into account their individual needs and requirements.
  • Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
  • Under the direction of a professional nurse, perform all processes related to the delivery of direct patient care and assistance care in the OR prior to and during any surgical procedure.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
Work Schedule

Full-time position with a 3-day workweek, with 12-hour shifts.
