Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient skin for surgery in accordance with hospital standards and maintain aseptic techniques.
  • Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, providing comfort and support as needed.
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite and position them according to the type of surgery.
  • Identify and care for biological specimens and prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies.
  • Work effectively as a member of the team caring for the patient and maintain a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Surgical Technology program required.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
