Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for surgery by ensuring the operating room is properly set up and all necessary equipment is available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Transport patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective care, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
