Position Summary

The Property Leasing Specialist serves as the primary representative for the property, responsible for welcoming potential residents, showcasing the unique features and advantages of the community, and effectively securing lease agreements from qualified individuals. This role emphasizes exceptional service, ensuring that current residents feel valued and at home within their community. The Property Leasing Specialist reports directly to the Community Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Leasing

  • Foster a professional yet inviting atmosphere in the leasing office and communal areas.
  • Conduct daily inspections of model units and available apartments to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Manage incoming phone inquiries, addressing each call appropriately, and documenting interactions for future reference.
  • Engage with prospective residents to assess their needs and preferences, presenting the community and specific units while highlighting key features and benefits.

Administrative Duties

  • Accurately process lease applications, assist with verification, and communicate results to prospective residents.
  • Complete all necessary lease documentation, including related addenda, and manage the collection of rents and deposits.
  • Maintain detailed records of all prospects, send follow-up communications, and enter data into the management system.
  • Perform regular property inspections, ensuring cleanliness and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Monitor office supply inventory and communicate needs to the Community Manager.
  • Participate in company meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, resident communications, and market surveys.

General Responsibilities

  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Community Manager or other supervisory staff.

Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation is necessary for site visits.
  • Basic understanding of multifamily community management and fair housing regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in sales.
  • Strong organizational and technical skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel; experience with property management software is advantageous.
