Regional Sales Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Swift Placement & Consulting. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and overseeing the work of Territory Sales Managers and Sales Representatives in the Northern Illinois region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain sales strategies and territory planning to meet assigned sales revenue targets.
  • Oversee territory managers and sales representatives in the Northern Illinois region.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers in assigned territories through frequent customer visits and other communication.
  • Increase account penetration at established and potential customers.
  • Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Provide one-on-one sales presentations.
  • Interact with other departments in the organization to ensure proper handling of customer requirements.
  • Remain knowledgeable about market and industry trends, competitors, and partners to ensure the company's products are highly competitive and well-received.
  • Track customer information, forecasts, and reports and maintain effective sales databases.
Requirements:
  • BA/BS in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a machine tool industry with some EDM experience preferred.
  • 5 years of sales management with high record of achievement.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task, and work independently or within a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
  • Minimum 60% overnight travel.
