Dental Assistant

Aurora Family Dentistry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services.
Responsibilities- Assist dentists with administrative and clinical duties, including preparing patients for procedures, sterilizing instruments, and setting up instrument trays.
- Provide patient support services, including personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support.
- Assist with dental and medical emergencies, maintain CPR certification, and instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Take and record medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment information in patient records.
- Expose dental diagnostic x-rays and actively provide hand instruments and materials as needed to dentists during exams and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Diploma or certificate from an approved dental assisting program as accredited by CODA.
- Preferred two years of dental or orthopedic practice experience.
