Job Summary

At Aurora Family Dentistry, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist dentists with administrative and clinical duties, including preparing patients for procedures, sterilizing instruments, and setting up instrument trays.
- Provide patient support services, including personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support.
- Maintain CPR certification and assist with dental and medical emergencies according to OSHA and office procedures.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs, and make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations.
- Clean and polish removable appliances, take and record medical and dental histories, and expose dental diagnostic x-rays.

Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
- Diploma or certificate from an approved dental assisting program as accredited by CODA.
- Preferred two years of dental or orthopedic practice experience.
