Clinical Educator in Abdominal Imaging

The Division of Abdominal Imaging within the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Health System is in search of a fellowship-trained professional for a full-time faculty role at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Clinical Educator Track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical imaging services, interpreting X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and Ultrasound examinations.
  • Conduct non-invasive fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Engage in the education of residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Participate in clinical research, journal clubs, and weekly multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Serve on departmental committees as requested by the Chair of Radiology.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor faculty and staff physicians.
  • Conduct research and publish findings in academic journals.
  • Represent the institution at conferences and deliver presentations as required.
  • Attend faculty and departmental meetings, providing insights and suggestions for enhancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in Body Imaging.
  • Consideration will be given to both junior faculty and more experienced candidates with a strong academic record.
  • M.D. or D.O., Ph.D., or equivalent in medicine, with eligibility for full medical licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic achievement through a record of scientific presentations and/or publications.

To qualify for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign medical schools must demonstrate successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or an equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
