Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves facilitating the launch and transition processes within the business unit. This includes coordinating pilot production schedules with manufacturing, assisting in warehouse organization and material flow, and leading change management initiatives to ensure all teams comprehend the specifics of changes, their responsibilities, and the implementation process with minimal disruption to operations. The candidate will exemplify the principles of the 5C's: Care, Commit, Connect, Communicate, and Celebrate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lead and synchronize launch and transition activities with cross-functional teams and suppliers in the manufacturing sector.

· Provide consistent updates on ongoing issues and statuses, ensuring timely completion of all tasks within established frameworks.

· Maintain and refresh the Manufacturing database.

· Organize weekly meetings to review upcoming product launches with the cross-functional team.

· Oversee pre-production builds and Performance Evaluation Reports (PERs) to ensure all departments are informed of customer delivery requirements, reporting outcomes to management.

· Collaborate with Operations, Master Production Scheduling, and Engineering to familiarize with products and assist at customer sites during pilot builds.

· Work alongside Corporate Product Engineering and Program Management to develop timelines for future launch activities, regularly communicating these timelines to the team.

· Ensure all departments have updated documentation for new changes, adhering to the New Product Process Change (NPPC).

· Engage directly with Customer Supplier Quality Engineers to communicate product launch statuses.

· Act as the primary contact for all manufacturing and engineering teams for coordination purposes.

· Understand the scope and timing of engineering changes from Corporate Engineering and establish the necessary timing and activities for implementation at the manufacturing facility.

· Comprehend part pedigree requirements for each pilot build event.

· Verify completed design packages against approved Product Change Notification (PCN) documentation.

· Acquire seat Bill of Materials (BOM) from engineering and interpret impacts on manufacturing systems.

· Communicate with suppliers to align on timing and events for changes.

· Coordinate with customers to ensure all necessary documentation is prepared for design change implementation and PER parts.

· Uphold and promote the principles of company goals, objectives, and policies, taking ownership and communicating positively.

· Maintain a proactive attitude towards safety, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.

· Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in line with company policies and relevant legislation.

· Ensure a safe environment for all employees and visitors by maintaining safety and housekeeping standards, addressing hazards, unsafe actions, or conditions promptly.

· Respond to and investigate all reports of injuries, accidents, and property damage immediately.

· Participate actively in the division's safety program through regular inspections and effective incident investigations.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires work in both an office and manufacturing environment. Physical demands include prolonged sitting, occasional lifting, and bending. Flexibility in working hours, including potential overtime, is necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is conducted in a manufacturing facility, with exposure to varying temperatures based on external weather conditions. The role may require overtime, including weekends and holidays.
