Wolverine Packing Co is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Meat Production Specialists. Our team takes pride in producing high-quality ground beef products while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Compensation: Starting at $17.50 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour for afternoon shifts.
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM - Approximately 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays.
- Afternoon Shift: 2:25 PM - Until production concludes (Approximately 11:30 PM), Monday to Friday, with alternating Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive punctually and prepared for work each day.
- Construct boxes for packaging.
- Package beef products efficiently.
- Operate production machinery.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards to ensure safety and quality.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to produce top-quality ground beef products.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in food production environments.
- Positive, energetic, and respectful demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly.
- Capability to stand for 9-10 hours in a cold environment (approximately 40°F).
- Pass a physical examination and a controlled substance screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
