The OpportunityAs a Phlebotomy Specialist at One Medical, you'll provide exceptional patient experiences and help them accomplish an important part of their care journey by providing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You'll work closely with our diverse team of providers and administrative assistants, utilizing the highest quality standards to perform specimen collections and processing.
Key Responsibilities- Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
- Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
- Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
- Continuously care for patients beyond the lab room by answering messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
- Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work
- Active Medical Assistant certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or the AMT
- Graduation from an accredited postsecondary Medical Assistant program or relevant training by any branch of the armed forces
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks

The range for this role is $25.75 to $27.75 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location.
Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time role (40 hrs/week) with shifts generally taking place between 8:00am-6:00pm based in our Darien, CT, New Canaan, CT, and Westport, CT offices. Flex Lab Services Specialists lend support to multiple One Medical locations in a market and location and schedule are subject to change.
