Compensation Analyst Job Description

At PTC, we're transforming the way companies operate and innovate. As a Compensation Analyst, you'll play a key role in driving this transformation by designing and implementing compensation programs that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scale our compensation processes and tools to ensure they're operational and automated, allowing us to grow with our organization.
  • Maintain the integrity of our compensation data and systems, including internal job architecture, career paths, salary scales, and comp ranges.
  • Benchmark jobs against external survey providers and market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges.
  • Prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position, ensuring they accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Administer our compensation programs, including comp cycles, promotions, goal-setting, and variable pay.
  • Design and build compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions and forecast/analyze compensation outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in compensation, consulting, or a related field in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience with benchmarking roles with external survey providers, required; experience benchmarking against Radford and/or Mercer is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and Excel skills to analyze data and create meaningful, understandable models and reports.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws impacting people operations and compensation.
  • Experience working with base pay and incentive plans, required.
  • Experience with global compensation strongly preferred.
