Job Title: Master VA Benefits Advisor

Join CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, as we seek a Master Benefits Advisor / Master Trainer to support our client at Naval Station Norfolk, VA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our team in providing exceptional support to transitioning Service members. As a Master Benefits Advisor / Master Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting standardized VA Benefits and Services Briefings, one-on-one engagements, pre-separation counseling support, military life cycle (MLC) events, Capstone events, and warm-handover support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct transition activities in support of the VA, including conducting standardized VA Benefits and Services Briefings, one-on-one engagements, pre-separation counseling support, military life cycle (MLC) events, Capstone events, and warm-handover support.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in management and technical areas such as training, logistics, policy, data management, and program controls.
  • Conduct training to other Benefits Advisors using knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures consistent with adult learning theory.
  • Serve as a Master instructor delivering established curriculum, training tools, and ensuring course content and delivery methods follow established training objectives.
  • Identify possible course material revisions based on instructor and participant feedback or suggestions.
  • Support the Site Lead with staffing, event management, and logistics activities at assigned installation.
  • Ensure integrated and proactive communications, quality management, and risk management practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years' equivalent work/military experience.
  • Preferred emphasis in Training, Education, Career Counseling, or HR.
  • Appropriate certifications.
  • Strong customer management and support skills.
  • Experience delivering interactive workshops and training to live audiences.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of the military and experience working with military clients.
  • Understanding of current veteran issues and challenges pre- and post-transitions.
