Position Title: Operations Manager for Senior Relocation Services

Role Summary:
Caring Transitions of Ambler is dedicated to assisting both seniors and non-seniors in making seamless and stress-free transitions between living situations. We are currently seeking a dedicated Part-time (to Full-time) Operations Manager to oversee operations in designated areas. This role offers engaging and meaningful work opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a welcoming and positive work atmosphere while striving for excellence in client service with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure that all tools and supplies are well-maintained and available at each job site.
  • Lead the team in executing project tasks within the designated labor hours.
  • Timely reporting of incidents or accidents to management.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols.
  • Provide updates to clients and management as required.
  • Address immediate employee concerns or disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist management with significant employee issues or disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of team member hours for payroll.
  • Maintain flexible working hours, including some weekends.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent training is required.
  • Preferred minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic and unique work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational, written, verbal, and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively use mobile applications.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs, moving, and climbing as needed.
  • Ability to walk and stand in various weather conditions.
  • Regular walking up and down stairs, potentially while carrying up to 30 lbs.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage ranging from $17 to $21, based on experience and motivation.

Team Leadership Responsibilities:
Focused on leading work activities at job sites and ensuring compliance with assigned labor hours while prioritizing the safety of employees, clients, and the job site. This list may not encompass every task necessary for successful project completion:


General Job Site Duties:

  • Communicate effectively with the team regarding client needs, job goals, pricing, and safety precautions.
  • Accountable for labor hours.
  • Ensure the safety of clients, team members, and property.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities for team use.
  • Manage supply pickups and ensure the team has necessary tools.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure all materials are available on-site.

Estate Sale Responsibilities:

  • Organize and merchandise items for sale.
  • Prepare signage and ensure cleanliness of the venue.
  • Compile pricing lists for transactions.
  • Coordinate post-sale clean-up and ensure all items are accounted for.

Packing and Moving Duties:

  • Label all boxes appropriately and maintain an inventory list.
  • Document any damaged items prior to packing.
  • Communicate special instructions to movers.
  • Ensure thorough clean-up after moving activities.

Online Auction Tasks:

  • Organize items into auction lots and adhere to auction guidelines.
  • Take photographs and write descriptions for auction listings.
  • Prepare auction lots for pickup.

Auction Pickup Responsibilities:

  • Organize auction lots and manage pickup documentation.
  • Ensure the safety of property during the pickup process.
