Position Overview

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Senior Vice President of Banking Operations is responsible for providing executive leadership and strategic direction to enhance the operational efficiency and profitability of the Bank. This role encompasses a variety of critical functions, including:

  • Assisting in the formulation and execution of the strategic plan to fulfill the Bank's mission and vision, focusing on profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Leading the planning process, both short-term and long-term, aligned with the Bank's objectives and available resources, ensuring prioritization to achieve strategic goals.
  • Taking charge of the development, implementation, and oversight of systems, processes, workflows, and procedures that facilitate organizational growth.
  • Collaborating closely with the President/CEO to establish and execute strategic objectives and manage the overall administration of the Bank.
  • Overseeing the Operations Division to ensure the delivery of efficient, accurate, and cost-effective technical and operational support services, including the management of the Information Technology Department, Deposit Operations Department, and the Bank's Branch Offices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong management, supervisory, and leadership capabilities; possess extensive experience in relevant responsibilities; demonstrate exceptional customer service skills; and have a solid foundation in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics. A thorough understanding of current banking regulations and compliance requirements is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills, professional judgment, and decision-making abilities are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective interpersonal communication are also required.

EDUCATION / TRAINING:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Communication, Finance, or a related discipline is required, along with specialized training in bank operations.

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants should have a minimum of ten years of experience in the banking sector, with a progressive track record in the Bank Operations Department. Experience reporting directly to the CEO & President is preferred, and familiarity with COCC Insight or Fiserv DNA core systems is advantageous.
