With over 325 locations across the country, each site operates independently.
Caring Transitions of Ambler specializes in facilitating smooth transitions for both seniors and non-seniors, focusing on relocation services, downsizing, estate sales, and cleanouts. We are currently seeking a dedicated Part-time (to Full-time) Operations Manager to oversee operations in designated regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a supportive and engaging work atmosphere while striving for excellence in client service with minimal oversight.
- Ensure all necessary tools and supplies are well-maintained and available at each job site.
- Lead the team in executing tasks efficiently within the allocated labor hours.
- Promptly report any incidents or accidents to management.
- Reinforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate updates to clients and management as needed.
- Address immediate employee concerns or disciplinary matters in accordance with company policy.
- Assist management with significant employee issues or disciplinary actions.
- Ensure accurate reporting of team member hours for payroll purposes.
- Work flexible hours, including some weekends as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent training is required.
- Preferred minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, written, verbal, and communication skills are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively use mobile applications.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs, along with moving, climbing, and transporting household items.
- Ability to walk and stand in various weather conditions.
- Regular walking up and down stairs, potentially while carrying up to 30 lbs.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage ranges from $17 to $21, based on experience and motivation.
Team Leadership Responsibilities:
Focus on directing work activities at job sites while ensuring compliance with assigned labor hours and maintaining the safety of employees, clients, and the job site. This list is not exhaustive but highlights essential tasks:
General Job Site Duties:
- Communicate project details, client needs, and safety precautions to the team.
- Accountable for managing labor hours.
- Prioritize the safety of clients, team members, and property.
- Ensure clean facilities for the team, assigning responsibilities as needed.
- May involve picking up supplies from storage and ensuring tool kits are complete.
- Collaborate with management to confirm all materials are present at job sites.
Estate Sale Responsibilities:
Prior to Sale:
- Organize and price items within the property.
- Manage indoor signage and cleanliness.
- Create a pricing master list for cashiers.
- Prepare outdoor signage and ensure all supplies are ready.
After Sale:
- Remove and organize signage.
- Ensure all company property is accounted for and ready for storage.
- Conduct a thorough walk-through to confirm all clean-out tasks are completed.
Packing and Moving Duties:
- Label all boxes appropriately.
- Create a master inventory list.
- Document any damaged items prior to packing.
- Communicate special instructions to movers.
- Coordinate cleanup and ensure all materials are disposed of properly.
Online Auction Tasks:
- Organize items into auction lots.
- Follow guidelines for photography and descriptions.
- Prepare auction lots for easy identification on pickup day.
Auction Pickup Responsibilities:
- Ensure auction lots are organized and ready for collection.
- Manage the pickup signature sheet.
- Maintain the safety of the property during pickups.
