Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Assistant to join our team at Reimagine. As a Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing continued care and supervision to our program participants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care and supervision to assigned program participants, including toileting, personal care, feeding, transfer, and ambulation training.
  • Assist program participants to and from transportation vehicles, maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant weights and blood pressures, as certified.
  • Assist with the planning, setup, and implementation of individualized activity plans, promoting participant engagement and enjoyment.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized program area, adhering to health and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a nurse's assistant, home health aide, or medical assistant in California.
  • One year of recent experience working with disabled adults in a rehabilitation, neuro, or geriatric setting.
  • Mature judgment and decision-making skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, with the ability to perform all job functions.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, transfer, and carry up to 50 pounds, with visual and auditory skills suitable for providing supervision.
  • Comfortable assisting participants in aquatic exercises, including working in warm water for up to one hour at a time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
