Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our ambulatory team at Grider Support Services LLC. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and performing routine lab tests.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health record (EMR) systems and assist with locating charts for next-day appointments.
  • Assist with answering phone calls, addressing patient inquiries, and redirecting calls to nurses or providers as needed.
  • Obtain patient insurance information, demographics, and prior authorizations for testing.
  • Ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, stock medical supplies, and manage inventory.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in staff development and staff meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • 1 year experience as a medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting, preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, preferred.
