We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Dent Neurologic Group LLP. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Patient Care Activities: Assist with vital signs, mini-mental assessments, and diagnostic procedures, while maintaining accurate records for medical charts.
- Schedule Management: Coordinate scheduling with medical secretaries and adjust provider schedules as needed to accommodate changing priorities and unexpected events.
- Patient Communication: Respond to patient inquiries, providing accurate and detailed information, and direct clinical calls to appropriate personnel.
- Administrative Support: Perform data entry into our electronic medical record system, enter prescriptions, diagnostic testing, and outside procedures, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, office personnel, and external contacts, making follow-up phone calls as directed by managers or providers.
- Clerical Duties: Perform clerical tasks in a timely and efficient manner, as set forth by the office manager.
- Patient Escort and Transportation: Escort and transport patients to treatment rooms and other clinic locations.
- Referral and Resource Support: Refer patients to proper clinical resources for healthcare questions and to proper personnel for Dent policies, such as billing and financial support.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Report errors or problems to ensure patient care and comply with quality assurance, HIPAA, customer focus, infection control, safety, and other policies.
- Work Area Organization: Maintain a well-organized work area and clinic, prioritizing tasks to keep the provider on schedule.
- Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range.
- Rates are commensurate with experience.
