Job Summary

Winston G Douglas is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Certified to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for appointments and procedures, conduct interviews, and record vital signs.
  • Perform routine laboratory and radiology tests as per established protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to OSHA standards and Universal Precautions procedures.
  • Manage medical supplies and materials, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Screen and respond to telephone calls, scheduling appointments as needed.
  • Coordinate patient flow, ensuring efficient and smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, filing and retrieving test results and charts.
  • Assist with medication refills under the supervision of a Doctor/PA/NP/LPN.
  • Document patient care accurately and completely, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare patient forms for Doctor approval.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and stay current with best practices.
  • Apply safety principles and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Exhibit exceptional courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Adjust to fluctuating patient flow and operational demands while maintaining quality care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
